Post Game: Condors 5, Grizzlies 0

Well, no way to sugar coat it. This is not how we pictured the home opener. While the effort was there as demonstrated by the shot count, the talk of the night was the shots against vs goals allowed. As Colley called it in his post game, a couple of lucky bounces and a couple of minor breakdowns and the Grizzlies were down 4 goals.

And while we definitely missed the trademark Kinasewich slapper from the circle, we were much more impressed with the overall team effort. Since we bitched all last season about playing a full 60, it was more than a relief to see Gannon and the boys playing until the bitter end. Again, from Colley: "We can't be looking at the scoreboard and feeling sorry for ourselves that we're down 2-nil. We have to go to work." This has been Colley's message for the past few years and we feel like this season the Grizzlies have a team that can accomplish this.

And JP . . . Hey, buddy - it could be worse.
