As Promised - pictures from day 2

We finally got some batteries and a cable, so here are some of the pictures and videos we got from training camp today. Above are Vladi and Dale. I think they were waiting their turn for drills. Or maybe they were slacking.

Some of the guys attack the goalie. I think there's a puck there. Maybe.

Coach told them to quit picking on the goaltender and do some laps. At least they're obedient. For a minute.

A red blur sneaks up on a white-jerseyed teammate below. I told you those guys kicking butt. Red team was Guthrie, Vladi, and Sixsmith. I hear Sixsmith's family calls him Bubba...

The guys run some nice passing drills:

Or at least that's what we think they're doing. They look pretty good, whatever it is. And everyone stretches at the end of practice. Or whenever our camera died.

It's one thing for us to tell you what the team looks like, but we don't really know anything about hockey. Well, a little. But not about practices. It's hard to say what they'll look like against their opponents, but training camp seems to be going well. The team is still waiting for about four prospects from Calgary to join them. They'll probably stir up a lot of trouble, and the whole team will become dysfunctional and end up calling Adrian Denny in the middle of the night to come bail them out of the slammer.

Just kidding. We figure they'll be okay guys. We just want them to get here.

The Grizzlies announced their promotional schedule today. We noticed they're offering a bunch of $2 concession items on Wednesdays as well as $5 student tickets. That means you students out there can get a hot dog, a drink, and a hockey game for the same price as a movie ticket. Of course, it won't be dark so your date will be able to see where your hands are at all times. But sometimes they have a kiss cam if you want to make out. (Awkward.)

The ECHL is also offering their "Official Guide and Record Book" on sale now for $20. We don't know what that is, but for more information, click here.

We'll be back, probably tomorrow. Hang in there, hockey fans - the Grizzlies are coming.
